Welfare

Cannon Colts YFC has a duty of care to safeguard all children from harm whilst they are taking part in club activities. All children have a right to this protection, and the needs of children with disabilities and others who may be particularly vulnerable must be taken into account.

Cannon Colts YFC will ensure the safety and protection of all children involved in the club through adherence to its Child Protection policy, FA Guidelines, and UK Law.

A child is defined as being under 18 years of age (The Children Act 1989)

How do we ensure the safety of your child?

We have various ways of ensuring that your child is safe whilst they are involved in club activities, including the following

  • All Managers, Coaches, Officials and Volunteers undergo an enhanced CRB disclosure via the FA CRB Unit

  • All Managers and Coaches hold Emergency Aid Qualifications

  • Parents are Parents are required to sign their children in and out of training sessions

As part of FA Policy we have a dedicated Club Welfare Officer, who's job it is to ensure we work within all the guidelines, and to deal with any welfare issues that may arrise.

Should you have any questions regarding club welfare policy, to ask a question, or to report a concern, please contact the Welfare Officer.

You can e-mail the Club Welfare Officer on welfare@cannoncolts.com
