The Gambia
Cannon Colts earlier this year carried out their own mini band aid expedition.
Local people visiting the Gambia returned there once again to deliver various types of aid, with this aid was a little
from Cannon Colts YFC.
During previous years, indeed since the club had been formed, the football kits that had become redundant for one
reason or another found themselves being stored for posterity, until that is we heard of the trip to The Gambia.
The kits that were being stored were never likely to be used again, and in fact there were four complete strips
comprising of shirts, shorts and socks, they were hastily cleaned, packed and off they went to the Gambia.
On arriving there they were all delivered to the SEREKUNDA school where you can see from the above picture they
were gratefully accepted by the children of all ages at the school.
Up until then the school did not have a recognised colour scheme for any sports equipment , they have now
adopted Cannon Colts colours and play proudly in their amber and black stripes.
Every one at Cannon Colts wishes all the staff and pupils at SEREKUNDA school all the best and hopes that the new
kits bring new luck.
